I was going to the grocery store. As I walked in, an elderly man pulled up in his car and stopped at the front of the store to let his elderly wife out. She had a walker, and as you can imagine, she was taking a long time.
A young man pulled up behind them and began honking his horn and yelling obscenities. His anger hit me like a knife to the heart, and I fell to my knees in the parking lot, unable to breath.
In that moment, I felt the presence of Christ, He was standing over me, and He whispered in my ear, “If that’s what that man’s anger is doing to you, just imagine what your own anger must be doing.”
And I wept…
